35kV MOA Metal Oxide Arrester adopts a structure with a series gap. During normal operation, the insulation gap bears the operating voltage, and the ZnO resistor does not bear the voltage, so there is no aging problem. A typical zinc oxide lightning arrester diagram would clearly show the arrangement of the series gap in relation to the ZnO valve column. Installed in parallel with the insulator string, the lightning current withstand capability is up to 120kA, significantly improving the lightning protection level of the line. (Taking C1 and above multiple lightning areas as an example, the lightning trip rate was 8-12 times/(100km a) before the lightning protection retrofit of the 35kV line.)
